Today we will introduce you to the opening date and usage of the ski resort for the 2018-19 season!
The first ski resort to open for the 2018-2019 season is Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang which is already open on Sunday, November 11. The opening date of the National Ski Resort can be found in the picture below. Opening dates may vary depending on weather and snow conditions, so please check again before visiting.
All ski resorts in Korea have different strengths. First, there are Elysian Gangchon, Star Hill Resort, and High1 Resort where novice skiers can enjoy skiing. The Elysian Gangchon is well equipped with a safety net so that beginners can relax and enjoy skiing. Another advantage of Elysian is ITX-Cheongchun train is easy to access.
Located in Namyangju, Star Hill Resort is a well-organized place for beginners. High 1 Resort is well equipped with a straight line where novice skiers can ride relatively comfortable, and the slopes are varied so you can enjoy skiing with fun.
Looking at the beautiful scenery around the ski resort is also a very important factor to the skiers. Welli Hili Park is said to be a great place to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery on all slopes of the ski resort and is best suited for extreme lighting. Also, the indoor amusement facilities for children who can’t ski are well equipped, making it suitable for family visitors. Muju Deogyusan Resort has the longest-distance slope in Korea that starts at the top of Seocheonbong Peak. It is very romantic to enjoy the scenery with a clear view.
Skiing is a fun sport only can enjoy in the winter season, so you should give it a shot during the season. Don’t forget that safety is the most important thing!
