2020 Incheon KPOP Concert(INK Concert) will be held on Oct 10

Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization announced on the 17th April that Incheon’s representative Korean Wave content “2020 INK Concert” was selected as the highest grade in the 2020 K-pop concert support project organized by the Korea Tourism Organization this year, securing KRW 200 million won in state funds.

INCHEON KPOP CONCERT

In order to attract foreign tourists and commercialize Korean Wave tourism in K-pop content, the Korea Tourism Organization has been offering tour packages for K-pop concerts held by private and local governments since 2017 to support overseas promotion and marketing costs for outstanding concerts.

In particular, a total of 10 local governments participated in the 2020 K-pop concert support contest, and among them, the “2020 INK Concert” won the highest grade, securing the largest amount of KRW 200 million won in state funds.

Since 2009, the Incheon Metropolitan Government has held the INK concert every year, and more than 10,000 foreign tourists visit Incheon every year and has solidified its position as a tourism-type K-pop concert representing the Republic of Korea in name and reality, with a total of 72,083 foreign tourists participating over the past decade.

This year’s INK concert will be held at Munhak Stadium on Oct. 10, delayed from the previous schedule in the aftermath of COVID-19.
