Every month of May, starting from 17 to 26, one of the most enchanting Rose Festival in South Korea is being held at Seomjingang Train Village in Gokseong, a county of South Jeolla province. Where visitors can enjoy a diverse range of beautiful roses, be mesmerize with their vibrant and feel the positive ambiance of the place.
Personally, I am a big fan of flowers and plants, especially Roses. We all love Roses because they represent something pristine and lovely. It talks about love, innocence, and strength of character. Their splendid colors and captivating vibes are making my mind full of positivity and giving my heart full of love. It makes me want to create more poems and songs. It feels like they talk to me and say “Relax, life is wonderful”. That is why I can’t hide my excitement and happiness when we arrived at Gokseong, even though it’s a little bit hot because Spring is leaving and Summer is coming, I still didn’t bother to take photos and explore every attraction inside the Seomjingang Train Village.
Ponds, fountains, monuments, tunnels, mazes and almost everywhere is covered with different kinds of flowers, especially the Roses. Make sure you have a lot of battery and memory on your phone for you to be able to take photos and share it with your friends on social media, but do not forget to disconnect for a little while and appreciate the creation of nature. Let the positive vibes of the place get inside of you.
Aside from Rose Park, there are a lot of attractions you can explore! The Steam Locomotive (where you can actually ride a moving train), Old Geoksong Station, Eco Experience Center, Magic Land, Amusement Park, Zoological Garden, Train Museums, Indoor Garden, Unique Monuments, Korean Traditional Village and a lot more. There are also restaurants and food-carts inside where you can eat when you’re hungry. This village is perfect for families, group of friends, couples, children, and for almost everyone!
I am not a professional photographer but here are my shots on different kinds of flowers you can see inside the Rose Park:
Hope it brightens up your day!
