Korean BBQ is definitely one of the first things that come to mind when planning your trip to South Korea. While there are tons of BBQ joints located all around Seoul, affordable and tasty BBQ buffets are harder to find. Here I recommend you one of my favorite all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurants around Seoul where you can have Korean BBQ as much as you want to for just $10!
Chakhan Dwaeji (착한돼지) is a BBQ buffet restaurant that has outlets all over South Korea. Chakhan Dwaeji means Nice Pig which is a bit ironic as a BBQ place name.. Two of the popular outlets might be the ones in Sinchon and Seoul National University station in Seoul.
The range of food is pretty incredible – besides having a generous array of meat and vegetables to choose from for your grill, there are many other cooked dishes to feast on as well!
From western dishes like pizza and pasta to Korean favorites such as tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake) and fried chicken, almost everything you want to have might be there waiting for you. To wrap up your meal perfectly, pick from the assortment of fresh fruits and jellies.
In addition to meat, you can also try the jukkumi(seafood), squid, and chicken ribs. You will be able to eat a balanced diet with a variety of vegetables prepared. Don’t get worried about being fat just by eating meat 🙂
Sinchon branch is on the 2nd floor and has reasonable seating and an efficient layout. The interior was pretty nice and the food was displayed elegantly as well. It was a pretty satisfying place, but like with all Korean BBQ, be prepared to have that smell linger with you well after eating.
When you get tired of eating meat, you can start fresh with other variety of foods such as tteokbokki, chicken, and fried food. Renew your stomach!
There are many different kinds of meat, such as marinated meat and frozen meat, so you can choose and eat them based on your taste. You can wisely have a bite of all kinds of meat and then bring the ones you liked the most.
You can grill the meat well on a hot plate and eat it in any way you want to try. If it’s the first time your trying the Korean BBQ, try dipping the meat with the red sauce and put it on top of the prepared vegetables. This combination, called Ssam(쌈), will give you the taste of heaven.
