BLACKPINK has become the first K-pop group with more than 20 million subscribers on YouTube.
As of noon Saturday, the band’s YouTube channel has 20,277,518 subscribers, way higher than K-pop sensation BTS with 16.3 million.
BLACKPINK is currently the 45th most-popular artist on the video sharing service, with 59.6 million weekly views of their music, according to YouTube’s music insights tool.
The all-girl group debuted in August 2016 and reached the 10 million subscriber mark in July last year. Doubling the number has taken just eight months.
