KPOP Girl group BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” music video surpassed 500 million views on YouTube early Thursday, the fastest K-pop video to hit the mark. It was released 111 days ago.
Previously, the band’s music video of “Ddu-du Ddu-du” reached 500 million in the shortest time among Korean girl bands ― 162 days.
“Kill This Love,” the band’s second mini-album, reached 100 million views in just two days and 14 hours, the fastest on YouTube.
The band now has four music videos that have achieved 500 million views, proving its international fame despite scandals within its label, YG Entertainment.
“Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” has now exceeded 800 million views, heading toward 900 million, which would break another record for a K-pop group.
BLACKPINK begins its dome concerts in Japan in December, performing in three cities ― Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka ― until January. Also, BLACKPINK will be on stage on 25th August for Korean fans in a long time as a performer in the K-ASIAN Festival hosted by Sirius Media and K-Art Contents and sponsored by the Incheon Metropolitan Government.
