According to recent members of The Recording Academy, BTS recently applied for seven nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards early next year through its agency Big Hit Entertainment.
According to the report, BTS supported “Album Of The Year,” “Best Pop Vocal Album” and “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical” with its fourth full-length album “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7” released in February.
BTS also applied for the digital single “Dynamite,” which was released in August and topped Billboard’s “Hot 100.”
They applied for four categories: “Song Of The Year,” “Record Of The Year,” “Best Music Video,” and “Pop Duo/Group Performance.”
The Grammy Awards is the most prestigious award ceremony in the music industry hosted by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS). The Grammy Awards decide the final list of candidates by voting for members of the Recording Academy. The final list will be released in November.
Among the top three popular music awards in the U.S., BTS has delivered great news of winning awards at the Billboard Music Awards and the American Music Awards, but has yet to enjoy nominating and winning awards at the Grammy Awards.
Earlier, they announced their solo performance and awards at the Grammy Awards as their next goal at a press conference held after the top of the Billboard “Hot 100” chart.
