BTS is sweeping 2020 MMA; Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year were all the world’s most popular boy group, BTS.
At the 2020 MMA (Melon Music Awards) held on the afternoon of the 5th of December, BTS won all three grand prizes, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.
BTS is sweeping various domestic awards ceremonies as well as the 2020 MMA, and is making history by continuing to win awards at overseas awards ceremonies. In particular, BTS recently became a candidate for the 63rd Grammy Awards ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ with its song ‘Dynamite’, marking a milestone in Korean music history.
The top 10 of the 2020 MMA were listed by BTS, Kim Ho-joong, Baek Ye-rin, Baekhyun, BLACKPINK, IU, IZ*ONE, Oh My Girl, Lim Young-woong, and Zico.
This year’s newcomers were Cravity and Weeekly, while the genre prize trot category went to Lim Young-woong. In addition to the three grand prizes, BTS won six categories, including top 10, dance, and netizens’ popularity awards.
