BTS Jimin released his first track on 31 December that dropped a surprise to the BTS fans, so-called ARMY. Surprisingly, his solo song, “Promise” already hits over 14m streams within 3days.
The song was released for free through music sharing platform Soundcloud and an official website of BTS. It is remarkable that RM and V both were participated in Jimin’s first album by writing lyrics and shooting the cover art respectively.
In his first self-written song since debuting with BTS, Jimin blends acoustic guitar sounds with strong, sentimental vocals. Above all, it is a meaningful reoccurrence for those who have not been familiar with the true value of “Vocal Jimin” since he proved once again that he possesses outstanding vocal skills as well as performance capabilities.
