K-pop superstar BTS member J-Hope has donated 100 million won ($84,000) to help underprivileged children suffering through COVID-19, according to nonprofit organization ChildFund Korea, Tuesday.

“I hope this donation will go to disadvantaged children facing various social issues, especially those economically suffering from COVID-19,” the artist said through the organization.

This is not the first time the artist has donated to this charity. In 2018, he donated 150 million won for sick children, and 100 million won to his alma mater, a high school in the southern city of Gwangju, to help low-income students in 2019.

That same year, he gave another 100 million to help sick children. In February last year, J-Hope was named a member of the fund’s “Green Noble Club” ― for those who made more than 100 million won in donations.

Meanwhile, BTS is set to release its latest single “Dynamite” on Aug. 21. It also plans to hold an offline concert “BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E,” which will be live-streamed online, from Oct. 11-12.
