Big Hit Entertainment said on February 12 that BTS ranked 10th on the top Billboard year-end closing ‘2017 top artist’ at ‘Top Artist duo / group’. This is the best record for Korean singers.
Year-end charts, which Billboard publishes annually, select and rank the most prominent artists in a given year.
Billboard also introduced a video titled “Six Songs of BTS to must listen in 2017”. The six songs include ‘Go Go’, ‘DNA’, ‘Save ME’, ‘FIRE’ and ‘MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) (Feat. Desiigner)’.
Furthermore, ‘DNA’ was selected as the best song of 2017 Billboard.
‘DNA’ was ranked 49th out of Billboard’s 100 Best Songs of 2017, according to Billboard. Among the singers released this year, the BTS was the only K-pop singer.
Billboard said BTS’s crossover into the US market is not a coincidence. “DNA” was one of those rare instances when a K-pop act’s transmutation of their American influences was reflected back in the US.
Also, BTS is on its way to debut the music station ‘MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE 2017’ which is the year-end special feature of the Japanese TV Asahi Music Station.
After back to Korea from Japan, they will be attended to the ‘2017 SBS GayoDaejeon’ in Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on 25th, and ‘2017 MBCMBC Gayo Daejejeon’ in Ilsan MBC Dream Center in Gyeonggi Province on the 31st.
