K-pop boy band BTS’ latest record and its title track made it to the competitive Billboard charts of the 200 most popular albums and the 100 hottest songs for the fourth week in a row respectively, the group’s agency said Wednesday.
“Love Yourself: Tear,” the third full-length BTS album, released May 18, charted 20th in the Billboard 200 album chart as of Wednesday after landing atop the list in the week starting May 27. The following week, it slipped to sixth place.
The album’s main track, “Fake Love,” ranked 71st in the “Hot 100” chart this week, after the song landed at 10th place three weeks earlier.
Their agency Big Hit Entertainment said it was the first time a K-pop act had claimed a place both on the major Billboard album and single charts for a fourth straight week.
The BTS record also remained atop the Billboard “World Music” chart for a fourth week in a row.
This week also saw the septet conquer the top place of the “Social 50” chart for the 79th week and claim 6th place on the “Billboard Artist 100” chart.
