K-pop sensation BTS, who has topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for the second consecutive week, will promote tourism in Seoul to the group’s fans around the world.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) on Sept. 10 said a video promoting tourism in the capital titled “See You in Seoul” will be released worldwide on Sept. 11 at 5 p.m Korean Standard Time. The group in the clip asks viewers to make Seoul their first destination when they can travel again.
Each of BTS’ seven members focuses on a theme to introduce the city’s tourist attractions. BTS leader RM showcases “Old but New,” Suga “Recharge,” V “Getaway,” J-Hope “Exciting Moments,” Jin “City Break,” Jungkook “Scenic Nature” and Jimin “Local Life.”
The group has served as the city’s honorary tourism ambassador since 2017. A teaser countdown video featuring each member was released on Sept. 4.
The video will be aired on the STO’s official website (www.visitseoul.net), its YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/visitseoul), and its Facebook and Instagram accounts.
