Over the past year, KPOP singers loved by music fans have confirmed their appearance at the 34th Golden Disk Awards 2020.
The officials of the Golden Disk Awards on December 9 unveiled a lineup of artists who have confirmed their participation in the upcoming Golden Disk Awards.
MAMAMOO, Jannabi, TWICE, and Polkim will perform on January 4 next year when the awards for the ‘Digital Song of the Year’ is held. BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TWICE will perform on January 5, when the award ceremony for the ‘Album of the Year’ category will take place. They are all candidates for the Bonsang awards. Singers with high scores on music and albums were the first to be listed.
BTS decided to appear on the ‘Album of the Year’ day. BTS, which won the Rookie of the Year award in the 28th episode, is a regular performer who has since been looking for the Golden Disk Awards every year.
BTS has won the Bonsang awards every year since the 29th episode and won the Bonsang awards in both the ‘Digital Song of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ categories in the 32nd episode. BTS also showed signs of winning the Daesang award for the 32nd and 33rd consecutive years.
This year, BTS was also nominated in both the ‘Digital Song of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ categories. Attention is focusing not only on whether or not the Bonsang will be awarded but also on how many titles will be given and whether the Daesang award will be won for three consecutive years.
SEVENTEEN, who won the album’s Bonsang every year after winning the rookie award in the 30th episode, will also attend the Golden Disk this year. SEVENTEEN is drawing attention as they were nominated for the Bonsang award in the ‘Digital Song of the Year’ category for “An Ode,” the highest-selling album since their debut.
TWICE will appear on both dates to stage the show. In the music market dominated by ballad singers and in the record market dominated by boy bands, both the music and the album record remain high.
TWICE was also nominated for both ‘Digital Song of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ categories this time. TWICE, which first received the Daesang in the ‘Digital Song of the Year’ category with “CHEER UP” in the 31st episode, has since swept Bonsangs away its 32nd and 33rd consecutive albums.
The 34th Golden Disk Awards will be held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul. It will be broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
