Gyeongbokgung Evening tours to begin next month
Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul from next month will begin evening tours of the ancient royal palace under the nighttime spring sky.
The Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office, a subsidiary of the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the Cultural Heritage Administration, on March 22 said the tours in this year’s first half will begin on April 1 and run through May 31.
Since their inception in 2010, the tours have grown so popular that tickets have sold out immediately every year.
The operating hours are 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and the last entry time is 8:30 p.m. No tours are held on Mondays and Tuesdays and on April 30.
Tickets are available from March 25 at 2 p.m.
The maximum number of visitors a day is 2,000 — 1,700 with reservations and 300 with onsite ticketing.
Tickets are available from March 25 at 2 p.m. through the e-commerce platform 11 Street (https://ticket.11st.co.kr). Onsite ticketing is offered only to those ages 65 or over and foreign nationals at the ticket office in front of Gwanghwamun Gate.
