BTS member Jungkook is under police investigation after being involved in a car accident.
Seoul Yongsan Precinct confirmed the accident on Monday, but did not give further details.
According to police, the accident happened on Saturday in Hannam-dong, Seoul. Hannam is home to “Hannam The Hill,” a complex of luxury mansions where Jungkook and the other BTS members live together.
Police said the star’s Mercedes Benz broke an unspecified traffic law and crashed into a taxi. Jungkook was sober, said investigators.
The singer and the taxi driver were treated for minor injuries, according to police.
Jungkook’s agency said the star’s “mistake” had caused the accident.
“Jungkook admitted he had committed a traffic violation and followed pertinent procedures with police at the scene,” Big Hit said in a statement. “He and the taxi driver also reached a consensus to handle the case peacefully.”

Good afternoon
Here is what we can say about BTS member Jungkook’s car accident.
At present, the police hasn’t closed the file so we cannot reveal the related information in detail.
Last week, Jungkook was driving his car and, due to his mistake, crashed another vehicle.
The victim and Jungkook both didn’t sustain major injuries.
Immediately after the accident, Jungkook admitted he violated the traffic signals violation laws. He followed the legally required procedures at the scene and answered to police who arrived at the scene. Afterward, he reached an agreement of compromisation with the victim.
We once again apologize to the victim. We also apologize to the fans for their heartfelt concerns.
Thank you
