The Palace Relics Headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Administration recommends the four great palaces, Jongmyo Shrine and the Spring Flowering Sites of the Royal Tomb of the Joseon Dynasty to enjoy the atmosphere of spring harmonized with traditional scenery along with beautiful cultural heritages, and presents a variety of cultural events that go with spring.

Spring flowers in the royal palaces and tombs of the Joseon Dynasty are expected to welcome visitors to Spring visitors this year, one to four days earlier than usual.

Starting with the yellow ginger plants flowers in the area behind Changdeokgung Palace and the palace’s Gyeongchunjeon in mid-March, beautiful flowers such as Sansuyu, Maehwa, Radiant Flowers, azaleas, and cherry blossoms will bloom in different days along the royal palace garden, Yeonji, and walking paths of the royal tomb of Joseon.

The spring flowers culminate in mid-March and last until the end of May. Visitors to the palace and the Royal Tomb of Joseon during the enlightenment period can enjoy the traditional atmosphere full of fragrant spring sounds.

In particular, “six tourist spots of spring flowers in the royal palace and the royal tomb of Joseon” are recommended by the Cultural Heritage Administration, where people enjoy spring flowers with their family members and lovers, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
