[Korea Weather] Strong cold wave all day long, snow expected

Today (8th December), the weather is expected to show a strong cold wave all day long. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, today ‘s weather is below minus 10 degrees Celsius in the morning in the central inland.

Such a cold is expected to slow down somewhat as the temperature rises from the afternoon. However, the wind was strong and the temperature of the senses stayed below zero, so today’s weather is predicted to show a steady pace.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said today that “Some of the cold waves are in the northwestern region since last night, and the temperature will drop sharply today.”

Jeolla Province will be snowing at dawn, and Jeju Island will be raining or snowing at the daytime. The snow will drop to daytime on Yeongdong and Gyeongbuk east coasts of Gangwon, and snow will fall on the west coast of central Korea.

Estimated snowfall is 2 ~ 7㎝ in Jejudo mountain, 1 ~ 5㎝ in Jeolla West Coast, 1㎝ in Jeolla Inland and Central West Coast. The expected precipitation was estimated to be 5 ~ 10㎜ in Jeju Island, 5㎜ in Jeolla Province and less than 5㎜ on the west coast of the central part of Korea.

In some Gangwon Inland and Chungbuk, cold winds will be in effect and winds will be blowing stronger to lower the temperature.
