Korea's first autumn foliage has started | HaB Korea.net

Seoraksan National Park started to be colored with autumn foliage. The Korea Meteorological Administration said the first autumn foliage has started.

It was late five days later than last year and is at the same level as usual.

Autumn foliage usually starts to color when the daily minimum temperature falls below 5 degrees Celsius, but the time varies depending on the average minimum temperature in mid-September. For example, if the temperature is high, the autumn foliage will be delayed.

The peak of the autumn foliage appears about two weeks after the first autumn foliage.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) provides information on maple leaves from national parks at http://www.weather.go.kr.

The Meteorological Agency will provide information on the autumn foliage along with photographs taken before, during, and after the end of the autumn foliage status.

Also, the video of the first autumn foliage, Daechungongbong (MT. Seoraksan), taken with a drone, will be provided from the 28th September through ‘Gangwon-do National Park Visitor’s Guide’.
