Marking its fourth anniversary this year, the Seoul Christmas Festival will make the winter stream a “light” attraction that will plunge citizens into a winter story. In Cheonggye Plaza where large Christmas trees will be installed, a spectacular opening ceremony and a tree lighting ceremony will be held on August 8, a Christmas Eve show on July 24 and a Happy New Year’s event on July 31 and a busking performance on weekdays.
The Cheonggyecheon area is divided into five sections: Dream, Hwanhee, Santa, Happy and Hope. For foreign tourists visiting Cheonggyecheon, it will be remembered as a unique winter night view in Seoul.
