K-pop boy band Monsta X will take part in the “Visit Cultural Heritage Campaign.”

According to the Korea Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) Tuesday, the six-piece act will join the campaign, which aims to rediscover the value of Korea’s cultural heritage ― the prototype of hallyu (the Korean Wave) ― and promote heritage sites.

In cooperation with Seo Kyung-duk, a famous Korea promoter who teaches at Sungshin Women’s University, the members will launch a joint program ― “Korean Heritage Travelog” ― on YouTube Sept. 29 to show some of the country’s most historic sites and look into the history behind each place.

“We are so honored to present beautiful cultural heritage in Korea,” Monsta X said. “We hope more people get to know about the beauty of our cultural assets.”

Monsta X ― comprising Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M ―debuted in 2015 with the album “Trespass.” The group has since released a string of hits including “Dramarama” (2017).
