NCT 127's U.S tour boosts interest in K-pop on U.S. talk shows "Good Day New York"

While BTS has cleared way for more K-pop idol groups in the United States, NCT 127 is following the path with a tight schedule in the U.S. filled with interviews and media appearances.

On Tuesday 9 a.m., the members appeared on “Good Day New York” on FOX 5, running live to promote their new album “Superhuman” which will be released on May 24.

“The album talks about how we want to bring a positive vibe, and that we all have the potential to be superhuman. We all have superpowers within us,” NCT member Mark said, explaining the meaning of the album during the show. “I think we become superhuman when we become one on the stage.”

The group emphasized the members are from diverse backgrounds, some of whom have lived in Canada, Japan and Chicago.

“Diversity is a big aspect as a team. A lot of culture bringing our group together is what makes us who we are,” Mark said during the show.

This is before NCT 127’s first U.S. tour which kicked off Wednesday at Prudential Center in New Jersey on Wednesday.

“It is not our first time being there, but as a tour in North America, we are very excited,” Johnny said on the talk show on Tuesday.

They also welcomed any collaboration with artists in the U.S., particularly with Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars and Billie Eilish. NCT 127 has already recorded a music video with Jason Derulo back in February this year.

On this day, the camera showed a huge crowd of fans waiting in front of the set before NCT 127 showed up and was introduced among the cheers.

Previously on April 18, NCT 127 made a guest appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “Strahan and Sara.” The group was introduced as a “K-pop sensation” on the set at Times Square and it performed a mash-up version of its hit songs “Cherry Bomb” and new song “Superhuman.”

It also had interviews with well-known radio channels such as Sirius XM and iHeartRadio which has more than 100 million listeners.

NCT 127’s North American tour starts in New Jersey and will be held in 11 different cities including Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, Huston, Chicago, San Jose, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Toronto.

NCT 127 is the second sub-unit group of the NCT umbrella, which has 21 members originally. The number 127 stands for the longitude coordinate for Seoul.
