Seoul to expect heavy snowfall tomorrow morning

Heavy snow is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area tomorrow morning, requiring caution such as safety accidents on the way to work.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced on 18th February afternoon that it will announce a preliminary snowfall weather special report in Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Sejong, southern Gyeonggi Province, southern Gangwon Province, south of Yeongseo, south of Chungnam and north of Chungbuk.

The preliminary weather report will be released in advance of the actual special weather report.

The snowfall is expected to reach 2 to 10 centimeters in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, 1 to 5 centimeters in the interior of Chungcheong, North Gyeongsang and eastern North Jeolla provinces.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) predicted that there will be a lot of snow in the central part of the country, more than 10 centimeters. This is because it is affected by low pressure from the south, which is filled with warm and humid water vapor.

However, since temperatures in the central and southern inland regions are expected to be between -3 and 5 degrees Celsius between dawn and daytime, the form of precipitation can be changed into snow or rain, and snowfall can vary greatly in snowfall areas and snowfall levels.

Jeju Island and the southern coast, where rain is forecasted, are expected to rain 20 to 60 millimeters. The estimated precipitation in the southern region is 10 to 40 millimeters.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasted that the central region, including Seoul, is likely to be snowed in the coldest part of the country, as the low-temperature pressure gradually

“The snow will coincide with the rush hour,” it said. “Since this snow and rain are caused by high water vapor and low pressure coming from the warm South, it is likely that there will be a lot of precipitation as in spring, not winter.”

The temperature is expected to rise gradually tomorrow night after the rain or snow stops.

The temperature is expected to rise to 10 degrees Celsius this weekend, with early spring weather expected.
