South Korea’s COVID-19 new confirmed cases fallen below 50

South Korea reports 47 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 virus infections in Korea.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that as of midnight on 6th April, a total of 10,284 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Korea.

As of midnight on the 5th, the cumulative confirmed cases were 10,237, an increase of 47 cases over the day.

The government announced the extension of the high-intensity social distance on 4th April, suggesting that within 50 new confirmed patients and within 5 percent of the unrestricted patients along the route of infection are the target goal.

Of the new confirmed cases, 13 occurred in Daegu, 11 occurred in Seoul, eight in Gyeonggi Province and seven in quarantine. Two cases added in Daejeon, North Gyeongsang Province, and South Gyeongsang Province, and one is in Incheon and South Chungcheong Province.

The number of complete recoveries increased by 135 to 6,598 and 3,500 are being treated in isolation. (64.2 % recovery rate)

Three more COVID-19 related deaths were added, totaling 186 people.

So far, 437,225 people have tested negative for the COVID-19 diagnostic test, while 19,295 are waiting for the results of the test.
