Several popular K-pop acts are set to participate in an online concert on Nov. 23 to cheer people up amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Groups including SuperM, Monsta X, ITZY and OH MY GIRL will perform for the “Unite ON: Live Concert,” according to its organizer, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), Monday.
“For diversity, alternative pop band Leenalchi and rappers Changmo and Loco will also join the lineup,” KOCCA said in a statement. “Top singers from Southeast Asian countries such as Raisa (Indonesia), TRINITY (Thailand) and K-ICM (Vietnam) will perform as well.”
The agency added that various technologies such as augmented reality and extended reality would enrich viewers’ virtual experience.
The concert is part of the “ON: Hallyu Festival” (Nov. 16-23), which aims to encourage hallyu fans amid the global health crisis and promote the export of hallyu content. The event is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Naver, Korea’s largest search engine; and KOCCA.
The “Unite ON: Live Concert” will be available free on Naver’s V Live and KOCCA’s YouTube channel.
