A transportation card ‘T-Money’ with the face of a member of the global star BTS will be released.
Korea Smart Card, the publisher of T-Money, announced on the 22nd Feb that it will introduce seven “BTS Transparent T-Money” types that contain BTS images as their first T-Money in 2019.
Korea Smart Card issued BTS T-Money in 2017 and successfully sold its T-Money customers in the 10s and 20s.

‘BTS Transparent T-money’, which is newly introduced, is going to be sold in limited quantity by 200,000 copies only. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are featured in seven sophisticated designs. In particular, it emphasized the shining image of BTS by introducing transparent materials on the cards.
Like current T-Money, BTS transparent T-Money card can be used not only by public transportation but also by about 100,000 T-Money partners nationwide in Korea. Starting on the 28th February, it can be purchased at CU convenience stores across the country, and when paying with the card, CU Membership of 2% can be automatically established and various benefits can be obtained.
“This product combines the global ripple effect of BTS and the usefulness of T-Money as a living card to give consumers a chance to experience BTS transparent T-Money for the first time in 2019,” said Kang Hyun-taek, managing director of Korea Smart Card.
