The red sunset glow over Bukhansan National Park, the glittering stars and the twinkling lights of the lighthouse at Hallyeohaesang National Park, and a picturesque scene of lotus flowers at Juwangsan National Park: these are the views that are captured in prize-winning photos of The 17th Photo Contest of Korea National Parks. The Korea National Park Service unveiled the photos on Nov. 11.
The photo contest, which was held from Aug. 1 to Aug. 30, received 4,610 photos that introduced the scenery, ecology and historical culture of the Korea National Parks.
Among 80 prize-winning works, Kim Gyu-wan’s “One Summer Dream,” which artistically expresses the sunset over Bukhansan Mountain, won the grand prize.
The first prize was given to Kim Ju-hyun’s “The Night is More Beautiful at Somaemuldo Island,” which paints the blue lights of stars, boats and lighthouses at the Hallyeohaesang National Park. Lee Soon-sub’s “The Janggunbong Peak in Water,” which shows the beauty of lotus flowers at the Juwangsan National Park, also received the first prize.
All prize-winning photos can be downloaded at the gallery website of the Korea National Park Service.
