Find out moreThis is our honeymoon trip to South Korea and we were glad that we took up the private tour from HaB Korea. Upon meeting our guide Jay, he made us feel at home immediately. We took a 1.5 hour journey on Jay’s car to the Gapyeong area, and along the way he introduced us to some of the Korean culture and history. Was really great chatting with him along the way. Jay also took the extra effort to allow us to experience local culture, bringing us to places that are more for the local people and not so touristy. Even for our remaining days in South Korea, he also took the time to help us check on the upcoming baseball game which we wanted to catch during our Korea tour. Thumbs up to HaB Korea.
We (with a turning 4 girl) appointed HaB as our 3-days Korea private tour agency. We are satisfied with the arrangement and places they recommended – Thanks to Megz for quick replied and patience towards our worries on the cold weather and bird flu disease. In additions, millions thanks to our tour guide, Jay for introduce the places and local food, for us to know more about Korea and eat like a local/Korean. I am from SIngapore and have engaged HaB Korea for private tour guide and photoshoot services to Nami Island. Mr Jay Lee from HaB Korea speaks fluent english and had displayed great hospitality towards my fiancee and i throughout the entire engagement. From an overall perspective, we are satisfied with the photographs taken and edited by the photographer who went all-out to take nice pictures of us. The photographer took about 2 working days to deliver the edited photographs which was surprisingly fast. I strongly recommend couples or a small group of friends (2-3 persons) to engage Mr Jay and his team for private tour and photography services. Last but not least, Hab Korea responds to email in a prompt and timely manner. HaB Korea also breaks down all costs line by line, thus do not have to worry about hidden cost.
We returned from our holiday last Wednesday and I just wanted to say a big thank you for organising our tours in korea last month. I must say we were very impressed with korea overall (although I would not like to drive in traffic!!) and will definitely be coming back. When we do, we will not hesitate in using your wonderful service again. I would also like to say what a great guide megz farol was for us last week. I filled in the feed back form but I would like to reiterate that she was excellent. She was extremely pleasant, informative, funny and very helpful. If all your other guides are as good as her, well, you must have a very good thing going!!!! Anyway, that’s about all I wanted to say. Thanks again for all your help. We’ve planned our private korea tours for 6 days 5 nights including Jeju island and seoul city exploration tour. Its our first trip to Seoul. We did enjoy it very much and again it is a truly amazing experience for us. Without having our experienced personal tour guides, Ms Erica (jeju island tour) and Mr SJ (seoul city tour) from HaB Korea, it would be quite difficult for us to commute in korea. They both did speak a very good english and they did make us feel very welcoming and entertaining. We all did have a very good laugh and yet very accommodating to our trip schedule. They did make us feel very relax and chill during the whole trips. They both are very experienced tour guides who have shared their culture and history about every tourist spots. Our trips did manage to try all good local korea cuisines. Once again, special thank you to our Ms Erica and Mr SJ for their patience and helps. Thank you to Ms SJ to make a special personalised video for our trip … its such a memorable trip for us, especially for my mom and sister. We are strongly recommended Ms Erica and Mr SJ to you all if you do plan to have a personal tour guide for your trip to this wonderful place
While tipping is not mandatory in most of the United States, it is customary in many circumstances for service.
If the tip is not already included, give 10-15% of the tour price. No less than $1-2 for a half-day tour, $3-4 for a full-day tour, and $5-10 for a week-long tour. This is a per-person rate. Tip private tour guides more. If the bus driver is particularly helpful with bags, then tip $1-2 per bag.
Korea is basically a no-tip culture. Cab drivers don’t expect any reward for their services and it’s pretty much the same for staff in local restaurants as well as hotels. Even porters and bellboys don’t expect a tip.
However, tour guides are accustomed to tip culture, and tips are considered part of the income of tour guides. So Korean travel agencies are recommending tips for guides between $ 4 and $ 10 depending on the length of the tour and type of tour (group or private). It is generally recommended to give more tips for a private tour guide.
