If you want to make some unique Korean food I recommend this tour! We made some interesting food and things I would never have tried before but it was really enjoyable. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable
This was a great find. The cooking school is run by Kim Minseon, She speaks Korean, Chinese and English. Your meet at the subway exit, and Kim immediately takes you on a tour of the open air food ingredients market. She purchases all the ingredients in the market. You walk to the cooking school, which is a very small house. We prepared bulgogi, kimchi soup, seafood pancake, etc. Class is limited to 8, and is very hands on. Kim sends you the recipes via email, and you do leave with a copy of her cookbook. Of course, you make lunch and enjoy it there.
Our family (three kids aged 10-13, plus grandpa) had the pleasure of a morning with Chef Minseon, who gave us a very educational market tour and then showed us how to make SEVEN different dishes for a delicious Korean feast. The cooking experience was very hands-on and we all had a go at participating. Minseon is a kind, generous and knowledgeable host. The venue was cozy and welcoming but big enough for our large group. Thanks Minseon for the great time! We will come back for an advanced class!
