City of Jinhae, which is famous for cherry blossoms, became the home of Korean Navy since the construction of the port facilities in 1910. Various facilities are open to the general public for sightseeing. In the center of the city, there is the park of Jehwangsan Mountain, and there is a prominent lighthouse in Gadeokdo island offshore.
Naval Academy, and Jinhae Naval Base, which are usually not allowed to access to the public, are a must-see place during Jinhae Gunhangje Festival period. Visitors can enjoy and explore a variety of activities such as visiting the Naval academy Museum and the Turtle Ship, open warship event, photographing, wearing naval uniforms.

☆☆☆ Naval Academy Museum ☆☆☆
Jinhae’s Naval Academy Museum has three exhibition rooms that showcase more than 4,800 pieces, including three actual treasures. The entire main room is dedicated to Admiral Lee Sun-shin and presents letters, portraits and even weapons associated with the Korean hero. A second room centers on general Korean Navy history, including replicas of vehicles, weapons and flags, and a third house all the historical data of the Naval Academy.
