A large number of tourists flocked to the cherry blossom festival in Yunjung-ro, Yeouido, Seoul, to mark the weekend.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the “Spring Flower Festival in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo, Seoul” will be held from April 5 to 11. Last year alone, 1.5 million people visited the festival. Police will control traffic around Yeouido as the crowds are expected to be large during the festival.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will increase the number of public transportation services, including buses and subways, that pass through Yeouido on the weekend of April 5-7.
Subway Line No. 9 that passes through the National Assembly building will increase train service 56 times a day between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. from April 6-7.
